How We Work

Career planning
You will be coached by an experienced consultant who will assess your current situation, concerns, career history, interests etc. In conjunction with the consultant you will be able to prepare a thoroughly researched career plan that will provide a clear way to move forward.

the process helps you to clearly understand your key abilities and skills. There are two reasons for this. Firstly, the vast majority of people are not aware of what they do best as it is an unconscious action, and secondly if you do not have an awareness of your strengths, you cannot sell them in the marketplace. Where necessary, we use psychometric testing to help in the planning of the career.

C.V/Career Resume

Once we have agreed the career plan, we produce the C.V/Resume. Most people write CVs far too early with insufficient knowledge of what they are trying to sell and who to sell it to. We have 20 years of experience of writing these and have a very good track record of helping clients gain better jobs with them.

Marketing

The next stage is to assist the client to operate as efficiently as possible in the marketplace. Far too many people feel ill at ease in the marketplace and limit their job hunting activity to applying for jobs, contacting recruiters and ringing up a few old friends. An individual marketing campaign is developed for each client, because everyones’ needs are different. Clients are taught how the marketplace works. Where to look for unadvertised vacancies. What to look for in an advertised job to enable a better letter of application to be written. When to send a letter of application to ensure it does not get lost amongst the other 399 applications. The relevance of recruitment agencies and how to use them. The art of performing more confidently in interviews and how to have the answers to the difficult questions prepared. How to deal with assessment days. How to make a presentation to a panel of decision makers. How to enable other people to assist you in your job hunting activities and much more.
